USTRANSCOM is responsible for creating and implementing global deployment and distribution solutions in support of the President, Secretary of Defense, and Combatant Commander-assigned missions.

Everyday, across the globe, USTRANSCOM provides transportation, sustainment and distribution to help integrate and strengthen the capabilities of America's armed forces. Conducting and coordinating approximately 10,000 ground shipments and more than 1,900 air missions each week, this command operates in 75% of the world's countries and territories, providing unsurpassed mobility and giving America's warfighters the edge they need to achieve victory.

This coin salutes the mission of the U.S. Transportation Command and honors all those who serve this force. Struck in a brass alloy and finished in antique bronze, this coin is imbued with enamel highlights on both sides.
